    If you are starting from downtown Seattle, walk to the nearest bus stop along 3rd Avenue. Take the Metro Bus Route 50 towards Westwood Village. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at Admiral Way & California Ave SW. From there, it's a 10-minute walk: head southwest on California Ave SW, then turn left onto SW Admiral Way. Schmitz Preserve Park will be on your right at 5551 SW Admiral Wy.

  • Light Rail + Bus

    Begin your journey by taking the Link Light Rail from the University of Washington station heading towards Angle Lake. Get off at the Pioneer Square station. Transfer to the Metro Bus Route 50, heading towards Westwood Village. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes and get off at Admiral Way & California Ave SW. Walk southwest on California Ave SW for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto SW Admiral Way. The park entrance will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are nearby, you can walk to Schmitz Preserve Park from Alki Beach. Head east along Alki Ave SW until you reach California Ave SW. Turn left and walk north on California Ave SW for about 15 minutes until you reach SW Admiral Way. Turn right onto SW Admiral Way, and the entrance to Schmitz Preserve Park will be on your right at 5551 SW Admiral Wy.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of Seattle's bike share programs. Start from downtown Seattle and head towards the Elliott Bay Trail.
