Walking
If you are in the heart of Capitol Hill, start by heading east on E Pine St toward 15th Ave. After a couple of blocks, turn left onto 15th Ave E. Continue walking until you reach E Galer St. Turn right on E Galer St, and you will find Volunteer Park Conservatory on your left at 1400 E Galer St. The walk should take about 25-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transit - Bus
From Capitol Hill, you can take the bus to get to Volunteer Park Conservatory. Find a bus stop along 15th Ave E, and catch the Metro Bus Route 8 or 43. Both of these routes will take you toward the Volunteer Park area. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of 15th Ave E and E Galer St. From there, walk east on E Galer St for a few minutes until you arrive at 1400 E Galer St. The fare for a single ride is $2.75, which you can pay using an ORCA card or cash.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing programs available in Capitol Hill. Head east on E Pine St, then take 15th Ave E to reach Volunteer Park. There are bike racks available near the entrance of the conservatory. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes.
