Getting There

  • Walking

    From Pike Place Market, head northwest on Pike St towards 1st Ave. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Seattle Waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, turn left onto Alaskan Way. Walk along the waterfront until you reach the Seattle Center area. The Space Needle will be visible from this area. Continue walking until you reach Broad St, then turn right. The Space Needle is located at 400 Broad St, approximately 0.5 miles from the waterfront.

  • Light Rail

    From Pike Place Market, walk to the Westlake Station light rail stop (about a 10-minute walk). Head east on Pike St towards 5th Ave, then turn right onto 5th Ave. The Westlake Station will be on your left. Purchase a ticket at the ticket machine, which costs around $3.00. Take the light rail towards Northgate and get off at the Seattle Center station, which is the closest stop to the Space Needle. From the station, walk a short distance to 400 Broad St.

  • Bus

    Walking from Pike Place Market to the bus stop at 3rd Ave & Pike St (about a 5-minute walk). Take Metro Bus Route 1, 2, or 13 towards Seattle Center. The bus fare is $2.75. Get off at the Seattle Center stop. From there, the Space Needle is a short walk away; just follow the signs to the Space Needle at 400 Broad St.
