Car
If you are driving from the center of The Columbia Basin, take I-90 E towards Spokane. After about 40 miles, take exit 143 for US-395 S towards Pasco. Continue on US-395 S for approximately 25 miles, then take the exit for WA-26 W toward Royal City. Follow WA-26 W for about 15 miles until you reach Royal City. Upon entering Royal City, follow signs for Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, which is located just northeast of the city. The refuge entrance is located off of WA-26.

For public transportation options, you can take a bus from Pasco to Royal City. Check with local transit services for schedules, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Royal City, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, which is approximately 7 miles from the bus stop.

If you're feeling adventurous and are within a reasonable distance, biking can be a great option. From Royal City, you can bike along WA-26 W. Be sure to wear a safety helmet and follow traffic laws, as the road can be busy at times. The refuge is accessible from this route.
