Car
From the center of Mazama, head east on WA-20 E for about 2 miles. Look for the Goat Peak Lookout trailhead on the right side, just past the road to the Mazama Park. There is a parking area near the trailhead where you can leave your car. The trailhead is well-marked.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the North Valley Shuttle from Winthrop to Mazama. The shuttle runs seasonally and may require advance booking. Once in Mazama, you will need to walk or arrange a taxi to the Goat Peak Lookout trailhead, which is approximately 2 miles east of the shuttle drop-off point.

After parking your car or getting dropped off, begin your hike at the Goat Peak Lookout trailhead. The hike is approximately 2.5 miles one way and is rated as moderate to strenuous.
