Car
If you are driving to Methow Trails, navigate to 21 Horizon Flat Rd, Winthrop, WA 98862. From the center of Winthrop, head east on Riverside Ave toward White Ave. Turn left onto Highway 20 and continue for about 1.5 miles. Look for a sign for Methow Trails on your left. Turn left onto Horizon Flat Rd, and you will find the entrance to Methow Trails shortly after on your right. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Methow Trails using public transportation, first take a bus to Winthrop. The North Central Transit System operates routes that service the area. Check their schedule for the most current routes. Once you arrive in Winthrop, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Methow Trails at 21 Horizon Flat Rd, which is about a 5-minute drive. Expect taxi fares to cost around $10-$15.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can ride from the center of Winthrop to Methow Trails. The route is approximately 1.5 miles and can be accessed by following Riverside Ave to Highway 20, then turning left onto Horizon Flat Rd. The ride is fairly easy, though be cautious as parts of the road may not have bike lanes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is pleasant, you can walk to Methow Trails from downtown Winthrop. Start at Riverside Ave and head east, then take a left onto Highway 20. Continue on foot for about 1.5 miles until you reach Horizon Flat Rd. Turn left, and Methow Trails will be on your right. This walk may take roughly 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
