If you are driving from Mount Vernon, head north on I-5. Take exit 232 for Bow Hill Rd toward Bow. Turn left onto Bow Hill Rd and then turn right onto Lake Samish Rd. Follow Lake Samish Rd for about 3 miles until you reach Samish Overlook, which will be on your left. There is free parking available at the overlook.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take Skagit Transit bus route 70 from Mount Vernon to Bow. Get off at the Bow Park & Ride stop and transfer to Skagit Transit route 1 (which may require checking the current schedule for availability). The bus will take you closer to Lake Samish Rd. From the bus stop, it is approximately a 1-mile walk to Samish Overlook. Be aware that the walk involves some elevation gain, so wear appropriate footwear.

Alternatively, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft from Mount Vernon or Anacortes directly to Samish Overlook.
