If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Skagit Valley. Get onto WA-20 E (North Cascades Highway) from your location. Follow WA-20 E for approximately 21 miles until you reach the town of Darrington. From Darrington, take Mountain Loop Highway (Forest Road 20) south for about 8 miles. Look for the signs directing you to Lime Kiln Trail, where you will turn left. Continue on Lime Kiln Trail until you reach Old Lime Kiln, which will be on your right. Parking is available at the trailhead.

For those using public transportation, take the Skagit Transit bus route that serves the area. You can catch a bus from various locations in Skagit Valley to Darrington. Once in Darrington, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to Lime Kiln Trail, as public transportation does not directly reach the trail. Be sure to check the Skagit Transit schedule in advance, as services may vary.
