Car
If you are driving from Seattle, take I-5 South towards Tacoma. Continue on I-5 South for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 133 for Pacific Ave toward WA-7. At the fork, keep right to continue on Pacific Ave. Continue for about 1.5 miles, and the Washington State History Museum will be on your left at 1911 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation - Bus
To reach the Washington State History Museum by bus, you can take Sound Transit bus routes from various locations in Western Washington. For instance, if you're coming from Seattle, board the Sound Transit 586 bus from the Sound Transit Station, which will take you directly to Tacoma. The journey takes about an hour. Once you arrive at Tacoma Dome Station, transfer to Pierce Transit Route 1, which will take you to the museum. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop at Pacific Ave and 19th St.

If you prefer to travel by train, take an Amtrak Cascades train from Seattle to Tacoma. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tacoma Dome Station, you can transfer to Pierce Transit Route 1, which will take you to the Washington State History Museum.
