If you're driving from downtown Seattle, start by heading south on 4th Ave towards S Jackson St. Continue straight onto S 4th Ave, then take a right onto S Dearborn St. Merge onto I-5 S via the ramp on the left toward Tacoma. Take exit 164B for I-90 W toward Seattle. Continue on I-90 W and take exit 2C for 4th Ave. Continue straight onto 4th Ave and follow the road as it becomes Alaskan Way. Turn left onto Pier 66 and continue until you reach Elliott Bay Trail. Follow the trail south until you arrive at the S & E Shipyard Historic Site located along the waterfront.

To reach S & E Shipyard Historic Site via public transportation, take the Link Light Rail from any station in Seattle. If you are starting from the University of Washington, board the train at the University of Washington Station heading south to Angle Lake. Transfer at Pioneer Square Station to the Seattle Streetcar (South Lake Union line) and head towards the Westlake Station. From there, you can either walk or take a bus to Alaskan Way. Follow the Elliott Bay Trail southwards until you reach the historic site. Make sure to check the schedule as the light rail and streetcar operate on specific hours.
