If you are in downtown Yakima, start at the Yakima Convention Center located at 10 N 8th St. Head east on Yakima Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S 1st St. Turn left onto S 1st St and continue for about 0.3 miles. Then, turn right onto Tieton Dr. After walking for about 0.2 miles, you will find the Yakima Valley Museum on your left at 2105 Tieton Dr.

To reach the Yakima Valley Museum via public transit, start by locating the nearest bus stop. Board Yakima Transit Bus Route 1 at the nearest stop heading towards the Valley Mall. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the Tieton Dr & 24th Ave stop. From there, walk north on Tieton Dr for about 10 minutes. The museum will be on your right at 2105 Tieton Dr.

If you have access to a bike, you can bike from downtown Yakima to the Yakima Valley Museum. Start at the Yakima River Trail near the downtown area and follow it southeast.
