    Car

    If you are driving from anywhere in the Allegheny Highlands, start by getting onto US-219 S. Follow US-219 S for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with WV-55 E. Take the exit toward WV-55 E and merge onto WV-55 E. Continue on WV-55 E for about 9 miles, then turn left onto Germany Valley Rd. Seneca Caverns will be located on your right at 3328 Germany Valley Rd, Riverton, WV 26814. Look for the sign indicating the caverns.

    Public Transportation

    Public transportation options are limited in the Allegheny Highlands. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to the nearest major town, which is Elkins, WV. From Elkins, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the approximately 30 miles to Seneca Caverns. It’s advisable to book a taxi in advance, as services may not be readily available. Ensure to check the Greyhound schedule for arrival times that allow for this transfer.

    Bicycle

    For the adventurous, biking is an option if you are in good shape and enjoy outdoor activities. Starting from the town of Franklin, follow the scenic Route 220 south to connect with US-219 S. Continue on US-219 S for about 15 miles, then take WV-55 E. After about 9 miles on WV-55 E, turn left onto Germany Valley Rd. Seneca Caverns will be on your right. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather before you set out.
