To reach the New River Gorge Bridge from central Beckley, take the Mountain Line Transit bus route 1 towards the Beckley Intermodal Gateway. Get off at the last stop, then transfer to the route that goes towards Victor. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at US-19. The bridge is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local shop in Beckley. Head towards US-19 by following the bike lanes on Raleigh Avenue. Continue on US-19 North for about 12 miles. The New River Gorge Bridge will be on your right. Make sure to follow road safety rules and wear a helmet.

Walking to the New River Gorge Bridge is quite a trek since it's about 12 miles from central Beckley. Start at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and head north on South Kanawha Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-19. Turn left onto US-19 and follow it until you reach the bridge. Ensure you have good walking shoes and bring water for the journey.
