From the center of Elkins, head east on 1st Street toward the intersection with Harrison Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Davis Avenue. Turn right onto Davis Avenue. Follow Davis Avenue as it becomes US-33 E. Walk along US-33 E for about 1.5 miles. You will pass by local shops and eateries. Look for signs indicating the Stuart Recreation Area on your left. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Stuart Recreation Area.

Start at the Elkins Depot Welcome Center. Head east on Railroad Avenue, then take a left onto 1st Street. Continue straight until you reach Harrison Avenue. Turn right onto Harrison Avenue and then left onto US-33 E. Follow US-33 E for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see signs directing you to the Stuart Recreation Area. The area is bike-friendly, and you can park your bike at the entrance.
