Walking
From downtown Elkins, head northeast on 4th Street towards the intersection with Davis Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Harrison Avenue. Turn left onto Harrison Avenue and walk towards the Elkins City Park. After passing the park, continue straight until you reach the intersection with US Route 219. Cross the highway and continue northeast along the sidewalk until you reach the intersection with Forest Road 91. Turn left onto Forest Road 91, which will lead you towards the Bickle Knob Observation Tower. Follow this road for approximately 5 miles until you reach the tower.
Bicycle
Begin your journey at the intersection of 4th Street and Davis Avenue in Elkins. Cycle northeast on 4th Street until you reach Harrison Avenue, then turn left. Continue until you reach US Route 219, where you will need to maneuver carefully to cross to the other side. Once across, proceed along the sidewalk for several blocks until you arrive at Forest Road 91. Turn left onto Forest Road 91 and follow this road for about 5 miles, enjoying the scenic views along the way, until you reach the Bickle Knob Observation Tower.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the Elkins Transit Center, take the bus heading towards US Route 219. Request to get off at the nearest stop to the intersection with Forest Road 91. Once you disembark, walk north along Forest Road 91 for approximately 5 miles. This road will lead you directly to the Bickle Knob Observation Tower. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to plan your trip accordingly.
