Walking
From the Harper's Ferry Visitor Center, head southwest on Shenandoah St toward High St. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with High St. Turn left onto High St and walk until you reach the bridge over the Potomac River. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to the Appalachian Trail. Once on the trail, follow the path that leads you toward the nearby town of Bluemont. The hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the trail signs for the best route, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local shop in Harper's Ferry. Start at the Harper's Ferry Bike Trail, which is accessible from the Visitor Center. Ride along the C&O Canal Towpath towards the town of Bluemont. This route is approximately 8 miles long and will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Enjoy the natural beauty and take breaks at the scenic overlooks along the way. Upon reaching Bluemont, follow the signs to Foggy Bottom Rd to reach Bluemont Vineyard.
Public Transport (Bus or Shuttle)
Check the local bus schedule for any available shuttles or buses that operate between Harper's Ferry and Bluemont. You may need to walk to a nearby bus stop located near the Visitor Center. Be sure to ask locals or check online for the current schedule and routes, as they can change. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive in Bluemont, follow the signs to Foggy Bottom Rd to reach Bluemont Vineyard.
