Walking
From the Harper's Ferry Visitor Center, head east on Potomac Street for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 340. Cross Route 340 and continue straight onto the pedestrian bridge towards the Harpers Ferry train station. Once you reach the train station, you can catch a MARC train heading towards Frederick, MD. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes.

After arriving at the Frederick train station, exit the train and walk towards East Patrick Street. Turn left on East Patrick Street and walk for about 0.3 miles to reach the National Museum of Civil War Medicine located at 48 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701.

Alternatively, from Harper's Ferry, you can take a local bus to the Frederick Transit Center. You can catch the bus at the Harper's Ferry bus stop and take it towards the Frederick area. Once you arrive at the Frederick Transit Center, transfer to a local bus that goes to East Patrick Street. Get off at the nearest stop and walk about 0.2 miles to reach the museum.
