Getting There

Walking
If you are in the historic area of Harper's Ferry, start by heading to the main street, Shoreline Drive. From the visitor center, walk towards the intersection with Potomac Street. Turn left onto Potomac Street and walk until you reach the bridge over the Potomac River. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the C&O Canal Towpath. Follow the towpath for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with Route 340. At this point, turn left onto Route 340. Walk along the road, and after about 0.5 miles, you will see signs directing you towards Willowdale Drive. Turn right onto Willowdale Drive, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Willowdale Park.

From Harper's Ferry, head to the local bus stop near the visitor center. Take the Potomac Breeze bus towards Frederick. The bus will make several stops along the route, and you will want to get off at the stop closest to Willowdale Drive. After disembarking, follow Willowdale Drive for about a quarter-mile, and you will reach Willowdale Park. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to plan your trip.

You can rent a bike from a local shop in Harper's Ferry. Start your journey by cycling along the C&O Canal Towpath, which is a scenic route.
