Starting from the Harpers Ferry Visitor Center located at 171 Shoreline Drive, exit the center and head northeast on Shoreline Drive. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Shenandoah Street. Turn right onto Shenandoah Street. Continue walking for about 0.2 miles, and you will find the John Brown Museum at 90 Shenandoah Street. The museum is located in a historic building and is easily recognizable.

If you are near the Lower Town area, start at the intersection of High Street and Shenandoah Street. Walk north on Shenandoah Street, passing the shops and restaurants.
