Public Bus
From Martinsburg, head to the nearest bus stop to catch the Hagerstown Transit or the Potomac Valley Transit bus service. You can take the 30 or 31 route towards Frederick. Make sure to check the current schedule for departure times. Stay on the bus until you reach the Frederick Transit Center. Once you arrive at the Transit Center, you will need to transfer to the Frederick City bus. Take the 50 bus that will take you towards Downtown Frederick. Get off at the stop nearest to East Patrick Street. From there, it is a short walk to 48 E Patrick St, where the National Museum of Civil War Medicine is located.

Train
To travel by train, head to the Martinsburg Amtrak station. Board the Amtrak Cardinal line heading towards Alexandria, VA. You will need to get off at the Frederick train station. Once you arrive, exit the station and either walk to the museum or take a local bus (such as the 50) heading towards Downtown Frederick. The museum is located at 48 E Patrick St, which is about a 15-minute walk from the train station.

Start at the Martinsburg Town Square and head east on W King St. Continue walking until you reach N Queen St, then turn right. Follow N Queen St until you reach the intersection with E Patrick St. Turn left onto E Patrick St and walk straight until you arrive at 48 E Patrick St, where the National Museum of Civil War Medicine is located. This walk will take approximately 30 minutes.
