Getting There

• Car

  If you're starting from Charleston, WV, take I-64 E. Follow I-64 E for about 35 miles. Take exit 169 for US-219 N toward Lewisburg. Continue on US-219 N for approximately 20 miles. Turn left onto WV-92 N and follow it for about 12 miles. Then, turn right onto Beartown Rd, and you will reach Beartown State Park in about 3 miles. Make sure to check for any tolls along the way, although this route does not typically incur toll costs.

• Public Transportation

  From downtown Charleston, take a Greyhound or Megabus service to Lewisburg, WV. This journey will take around 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Lewisburg, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Beartown State Park, as there is no direct public transportation to the park. Drive on US-219 N for about 20 miles, then turn left onto WV-92 N. After about 12 miles, turn right onto Beartown Rd. The park will be approximately 3 miles ahead. There are no tolls on this route.
