From Spruce Knob, head southwest on County Road 28. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the junction with WV-33. Turn right onto WV-33 and follow the signs toward the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto Spruce Knob Road, which is marked for the summit. Drive for an additional 3 miles on Spruce Knob Road until you reach the parking area at the end of the road. From there, Big Spruce Knob is a short hike up a well-marked trail.
