From Bayfield, Wisconsin, take Highway 13 north for about 10 miles. Look for signs leading to the ferry terminal to Madeline Island. The ferry service operates frequently, and the cost is approximately $15 round trip for a car and passengers. Once you arrive on Madeline Island, continue driving on Main Street, then take a left onto Airport Road. Follow this road until you reach La Pointe, where you will find parking available near LaPointe Lighthouse.

If you're starting in Bayfield, you can take a public bus (seasonal service available) to the ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, board the ferry to Madeline Island.
