If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Madeline Island. Head south on Main St and follow it as it curves to the right to become Big Bay Rd. Continue on Big Bay Rd for about 5 miles, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Halvor Reiten Park. The park entrance will be on your right just before you reach the end of Big Bay Rd. There is no parking fee, and ample parking is available near the beach.

Bicycle
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in town. Once you have your bike, head south on Main St, taking a left onto Big Bay Rd. The ride is approximately 5 miles with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. The park entrance will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and obey local traffic laws.

Walking
If you're up for a walk, start from the Madeline Island Ferry Dock. Walk along Main St heading south for about 0.5 miles until you reach Big Bay Rd. Turn left onto Big Bay Rd and continue walking for about 4.5 miles. The walk may take about an hour and a half, but you will be rewarded with stunning views. The park entrance will be on your right. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water with you.

Currently, Madeline Island does not have a formal public transportation system. However, local taxi services may be available. You can call a local taxi service from your accommodation to arrange for a ride to Halvor Reiten Park. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
