If you are in downtown Appleton, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs. Head south on Appleton Street until you reach College Avenue. Turn right on College Avenue and continue west until you reach the Fox River. You will see signs for the Fox River Trail. Follow the trail north for approximately 10 miles until you reach the Fox River Trailhead located at Ott Rd, Hilbert, WI 54129.

From downtown Appleton, head to the Appleton Transit Center located at 100 N Appleton St. Take Bus Route 8 towards the Lawrence University area. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Richmond St and Ott Rd. Walk east on Ott Rd for about half a mile until you reach the Fox River Trailhead. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times.

If you're close to the Fox River, you can walk north along the riverbank. Start at the Fox River Mall and head north along the river trail. Continue walking for about 10 miles, following the signs for the Fox River Trail until you arrive at the Fox River Trailhead at Ott Rd, Hilbert, WI 54129.
