Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Chippewa Falls, WI. From the center of Chippewa Falls, take County Highway O (Co Hwy O) north. Follow Co Hwy O for about 10 miles until you reach Lake Wissota State Park, located at 18127 Co Hwy O, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. The park entrance will be on your right. Be aware that there is a parking fee of $8 for Wisconsin residents and $11 for non-residents.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first take a bus to Chippewa Falls. The Chippewa Valley Transit offers bus services from Eau Claire and nearby areas. Once in Chippewa Falls, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Lake Wissota State Park, as public transportation does not service the park directly. Expect to pay around $15-$25 for a taxi ride from Chippewa Falls to the park.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, there are bike paths leading to Lake Wissota State Park. If you're within 10-15 miles of the park, consider cycling along the scenic routes through the Chippewa Valley. Ensure your bike is in good condition and plan for about 1-2 hours of cycling depending on your starting point. Remember to wear a helmet and bring water!

• Walking

  If you are very close to the park (within a few kilometers), walking is a pleasant way to arrive. Just make sure to follow the local roads leading to County Highway O. It may take you some time, so plan accordingly. Be mindful of traffic and ensure you have comfortable walking shoes, as the park entrance is about a kilometer from the main road.
