Car
From the center of Bayfield, head south on Rittenhouse Avenue (WI-13). Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Houghton Falls Road. Turn right onto Houghton Falls Road. Follow Houghton Falls Road for approximately 1 mile. You will see the entrance to Houghton Falls State Natural Area on your left. There is no entry fee for the park, but be sure to check for any parking regulations.

Currently, there is limited public transportation directly to Houghton Falls State Natural Area. However, you can take a local bus or shuttle service from Bayfield that goes towards Washburn (check local schedules for availability). Once you reach Washburn, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the last 2 miles to Houghton Falls. Make sure to confirm the fare estimate with the driver, as costs may vary.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Bayfield. Start on Rittenhouse Avenue and head south towards WI-13. Follow the same route as for cars, cycling along the shoulder of the road.
