Car
If you're driving from downtown Chippewa Valley, start by heading south on US-53 S. Continue on US-53 S for approximately 10 miles until you reach the exit for WI-29 E toward Green Bay. Merge onto WI-29 E. After about 1 mile, take the exit toward Menomonie. Continue on WI-25 S, which will lead you directly into Menomonie. Once in Menomonie, turn right onto 740th St. Follow 740th St for about 2 miles, and you will see the entrance to Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area on your left.
Public Transportation
To reach Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area via public transportation, start by checking the Chippewa Valley transit schedules for buses heading toward Menomonie. You can take a bus to Menomonie and get off at the nearest bus stop in Menomonie. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you to the recreation area. The approximate distance from Menomonie's downtown area to Hoffman Hills is about 5 miles, so the taxi fare may range from $10 to $15 depending on the service and traffic conditions.
Bicycle
