If you are driving, exit the main park area and head towards County Road DL. Follow County Road DL to the intersection with Highway 113. Turn left onto Highway 113 and continue for approximately 3 miles. You will see signs for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Turn onto the access road, which will lead you to the trailhead parking area.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest stop in Baraboo, which is about 15 miles from Devil's Lake State Park. From Baraboo, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Ice Age Trailhead. Inform the driver to drop you off at the Ice Age National Scenic Trail access road near Highway 113.
Walking
If you are already in the Devil's Lake State Park Visitor Center area, you can walk to the Ice Age Trail - Devil's Lake Segment. Head south from the Visitor Center on the main park road until you reach the trailhead for the Ice Age Trail. This is approximately a 2-mile walk, with clear signs marking the trail access points.
