If you're starting from downtown Sturgeon Bay, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Door County Public Transit bus heading towards the north side of Sturgeon Bay. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Clark Lake Road. Once you get off the bus, walk approximately 0.5 miles east on Clark Lake Road to reach Whitefish Dunes State Park.

From downtown Sturgeon Bay, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. After renting your bike, head east on Jefferson Street until you reach the intersection with Clark Lake Road. Turn left onto Clark Lake Road and continue straight for about 2 miles. You'll see the entrance to Whitefish Dunes State Park on your right.
