Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Oshkosh. Head south on Main Street and make a right onto W 20th Avenue. Continue on W 20th Avenue until you reach Sherman Road. Turn left onto Sherman Road and follow it for about 1.5 miles. The Asylum Point Lighthouse will be on your right at 3300 Sherman Rd, Oshkosh, WI 54901. There is free street parking available nearby.

  For those using public transportation, take the Oshkosh City Transit bus service. You can catch the bus at various points around the city. Look for routes that head towards the Sherman Road area. Once you reach the stop nearest to Sherman Road, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to the lighthouse. The bus fare is around $1.50, and exact change is required.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to the Asylum Point Lighthouse. Starting from downtown Oshkosh, you can take bicycle-friendly roads south on Main Street and follow the same route as the car directions. Be sure to wear a helmet and obey traffic rules.
