Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the downtown area of Eau Claire, head west on East Grand Avenue. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with North Barstow Street. Turn left onto North Barstow Street and walk south for a couple of blocks. You will see Phoenix Park on your right. Enter the park and follow the path towards the river. The Chippewa River Trailhead is located at 330 Riverfront Terrace, directly along the riverfront.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops downtown. Start at the bike rental location and head west on East Grand Avenue. After about 0.5 miles, take a left onto North Barstow Street and bike south until you reach Phoenix Park. Once you enter the park, follow the bike trail along the river, and you will arrive at the Chippewa River Trailhead at 330 Riverfront Terrace.

• Public Transit

  If you are using public transit, locate the nearest bus stop in downtown Eau Claire. Take the bus route that heads toward the Phoenix Park area. After getting off at the closest stop, walk towards North Barstow Street. Head south on North Barstow Street and enter Phoenix Park. Follow the path along the river to reach the Chippewa River Trailhead at 330 Riverfront Terrace.
