From any point along the Great River Road, head towards De Soto, Wisconsin. If you're coming from the north, you can take US-61 S, which merges with WI-35 S. Continue on WI-35 S until you reach E590 Blacktop Rd in De Soto. If you're coming from the south, take WI-35 N. Once in De Soto, turn onto E590 Blacktop Rd. The entrance to the US Army Corps of Engineers Blackhawk Park will be on your left. There is no entrance fee, but check for any parking fees that may apply.

If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus to La Crosse, WI. From there, you will need to use a rideshare service or taxi to get to Blackhawk Park, as public transit does not service this area directly. The distance from La Crosse to De Soto is approximately 30 miles. Expect to spend around $30-$50 for a rideshare or taxi service depending on the time and demand.

For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle along the Great River Road. Ensure you have a good map or GPS device, as some sections might not have dedicated bike lanes. Head towards De Soto and make your way to E590 Blacktop Rd. The park features bike-friendly paths, but do note that biking may take a couple of hours depending on your starting point.
