Getting There

• Car

  If you are starting from downtown Antigo, WI, head northeast on 5th Ave toward E Aurora St. Turn right onto WI-17 N/WI-52 E and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left onto Rusch Rd and follow for 1.5 miles. You will see signs for the Ice Age Trail along the road. When you reach the intersection with the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, you will find the Parrish Hills Segment Intersection 14 (ATV) on your left. There is no parking fee, but parking might be limited in some areas.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the Langlade County Transit (bus service) from any stop in Antigo towards the north part of the county. Request a drop-off at the nearest stop to Rusch Rd. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile southwest toward the Ice Age Trail marker, which is located at the Parrish Hills Segment Intersection 14 (ATV). Be prepared for potential walking on gravel roads. Confirm the bus schedule in advance as it may vary.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Antigo. Once you have your bike, head northeast on 5th Ave and follow the same route as the car directions. Biking to the Parrish Hills Segment Intersection 14 (ATV) will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your speed. Ensure that you have a good bike lock as you may need to secure your bike while exploring the trail.

• Walking

  If you are already near the Ice Age Trail or staying at a nearby campsite, you can walk to the Parrish Hills Segment Intersection 14 (ATV). Just follow the trail markers from your location towards Rusch Rd. The trail is well-marked, but be sure to have a map or a GPS-enabled device to guide you as you navigate the hiking paths.
