Walking
If you are in downtown La Crosse, you can easily walk to the La Crosse Area Heritage Center. Start at Riverside Park, located along the Mississippi River. From there, head north on the La Crosse River State Trail until you reach Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and walk for about 5 blocks until you reach 506 Main St. The Heritage Center will be on your right. Look for the large sign and entrance.

Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs. Start at the La Crosse Public Library, located at 800 Main St. Head south on Main Street towards Riverside Park. Once you reach the park, continue on the La Crosse River State Trail north. After about 1 mile, take a right onto Main Street and proceed to 506 Main St. The La Crosse Area Heritage Center will be on your right.

You can take the local bus service to reach the La Crosse Area Heritage Center. Look for Route 1 or 2, which stops at various locations in downtown La Crosse. Get off at the Main Street and 5th Avenue stop. From there, walk east on Main Street for about 2 blocks. The Heritage Center is located at 506 Main St, on your left side.
