Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From downtown La Crosse, walk to the nearest bus stop on 4th Street. Board the La Crosse MTU bus route 2 heading towards the 'North Side'. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the stop near the intersection of WI-33 and County Road E. From there, walk about 0.5 miles east along WI-33, following the designated pedestrian paths until you reach the Paul E. Stry Nature Preserve entrance on your right.

    If you have a bike, start from Riverside Park and head west on the La Crosse River State Trail. Continue biking for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with WI-33. Turn left onto WI-33 and bike approximately 1 mile, keeping an eye out for the preserve entrance on your left.
