Bus
Start at the Wisconsin State Capitol located at 2 E Main St, Madison, WI 53703. Walk to the bus stop at State St & Capitol, which is just a short 5-minute walk. From there, take the Metro Transit bus route 80 (southbound) towards the South Transfer Point. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Arboretum Dr & Longenecker Horticultural Gardens'. You will be right next to the entrance of the Arboretum.
Bicycle
If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing programs around Madison. Start at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center located at 1 John Nolen Dr, Madison, WI 53703. Head southeast on John Nolen Dr, then take a left onto E Wilson St. Continue on E Wilson St until you reach the intersection with S Park St. Turn left and follow S Park St, which merges into Arboretum Dr. Continue straight for about 2.5 miles until you reach the Longenecker Horticultural Gardens, which will be on your right.
Walking
For those who prefer walking, start from the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, specifically from the Memorial Union at 800 Langdon St, Madison, WI 53706. Walk south on Langdon St until you reach the intersection with Park St. Turn right onto Park St and continue south for about 1.5 miles. Once you reach Arboretum Dr, turn left and continue for about 0.5 miles. The Longenecker Horticultural Gardens will be on your left.
