Getting There

Walking
From the heart of the Historic Third Ward, head east on E St Paul Ave toward N Water St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the waterfront. You'll see the Milwaukee Riverfront on your left. Once you reach the river, turn left onto the Riverwalk and follow it north. After about 0.2 miles, you will come to a pedestrian bridge leading to Lakeshore State Park. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself at the entrance of the park.

Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the Historic Third Ward and head east on E St Paul Ave toward N Water St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Milwaukee Riverwalk. Bike along the Riverwalk heading north, and after about 0.2 miles, you will see a pedestrian bridge on your left. Cross this bridge, and you will enter Lakeshore State Park. If you need to rent a bike, consider stopping by a local bike rental shop in the Third Ward, such as 'Bublr Bikes' which offers bike-sharing services.

Public Transit
To reach Lakeshore State Park via public transit, start at the nearest bus stop (the Milwaukee County Transit System bus stop at E St Paul Ave and N Water St). Take the #14 bus heading towards the East Side. After a short ride of about 10 minutes, get off at the stop near the Milwaukee Art Museum. From there, walk east towards the lakefront, and follow the path that leads to Lakeshore State Park. Please note that a single bus fare costs $2.25.
