Car
From any point in Northern Highland, head towards the nearest major road that connects to Highway 151. Take Highway 151 southbound towards Belmont. Continue on Highway 151 for approximately 40 miles until you reach Belmont. Once in Belmont, follow the signs for Pecatonica State Trail. The entrance to the trail is located at Pecatonica State Trail, Belmont, WI 53510. Parking is available at the trailhead, but be aware that some parking areas may have a small fee or require a state park sticker.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check for local bus services that connect Northern Highland to nearby towns with Amtrak or Greyhound stations. You may need to take a bus to either Dodgeville or Platteville first. From there, you can catch a regional bus or taxi service to Belmont. Once you arrive in Belmont, the Pecatonica State Trail is within walking distance from the center of town. It is advisable to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
Bicycle
