If you are starting from downtown Racine, head south on Main Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 6th Street. Turn right onto 6th Street and walk until you reach Lake Avenue. Turn left onto Lake Avenue and continue straight. You will pass several local shops and parks. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with 14th Street. The Southside Historic District will be located on your right. The historical marker is situated near the parks in this district.

For cyclists starting in downtown Racine, take Main Street south towards 6th Street. At 6th Street, turn right and continue cycling to Lake Avenue. Turn left onto Lake Avenue. This route is relatively flat and safe for biking. Continue until you reach 14th Street where you will find the Southside Historic District on your right. Look for the historical marker as you enter the parks in the district.
