Start your journey at the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center located at 1001 N Madison Ave. Walk south on Madison Ave until you reach the intersection with E Maple Ave. Turn right on E Maple Ave and continue walking until you reach S 3rd Ave. At this point, turn left and follow S 3rd Ave until you reach the intersection with S Lake Michigan Dr. Turn right onto S Lake Michigan Dr and continue walking for about 1 mile. The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve will be on your left at 2499 S Lake Michigan Dr.

If you have a bicycle, start at the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center at 1001 N Madison Ave. Head south on Madison Ave, then turn right onto E Maple Ave. Follow E Maple Ave until you reach S 3rd Ave and turn left. Continue down S 3rd Ave, and when you reach S Lake Michigan Dr, turn right. Enjoy the scenic ride along S Lake Michigan Dr for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve at 2499 S Lake Michigan Dr on your left.
