To reach Rib Mountain State Park from downtown Wausau, start by taking the Metro Ride bus from the Wausau Transit Center. You can board the Route 1 bus heading towards the Wausau East Terminal. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the 'Wausau East Terminal' stop. From there, transfer to the Route 2 bus that will take you towards Rib Mountain State Park. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'State Park Road & Rib Mountain Dr' stop. Rib Mountain State Park is a short walk from this stop, approximately 0.5 miles down State Park Road.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Wausau. Start at the Wausau River Walk, heading southeast until you reach the intersection with 3rd Street.
