Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Cody, head north on Sheridan Avenue (US-14/US-16). Continue walking straight, passing by shops and eateries. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with 14th Street. Keep walking straight for another 1 mile until you reach a fork in the road, where you will turn left onto North Fork Highway (WY-291). Continue along North Fork Highway for approximately 3 miles, and you will see the Buffalo Bill Dam & Visitor Center on your right at 4808 N Fork Hwy.

• Biking

  Start at the Cody Visitor Center located at 1131 12th Street. Head north on 12th Street until you reach Sheridan Avenue. Turn left onto Sheridan Avenue (US-14/US-16) and head north. After about 0.5 miles, take a right at the first intersection onto 14th Street. Continue straight for 1 mile, then turn left onto North Fork Highway (WY-291). Cycle along North Fork Highway for about 3 miles until you see the Buffalo Bill Dam & Visitor Center on your right at 4808 N Fork Hwy.

• Public Transit

  Currently, there is no direct public transit service to the Buffalo Bill Dam & Visitor Center from downtown Cody. However, you can take the local shuttle service that operates within Cody. Check with your hotel or the Cody Visitor Center for the latest information on shuttle schedules. If the shuttle can take you to the North Fork Highway, you would then need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the Visitor Center.
