Walking
If you're starting from the center of Cody, head west on Sheridan Avenue towards the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 12th Street. Turn left onto 12th Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Wyoming Avenue. Turn right onto Wyoming Avenue. After about two blocks, you will reach a small park area. From here, you will see a sign directing you to the Buffalo Bill Reservoir. Continue walking straight, following the signs, and you will arrive at the scenic view point of Buffalo Bill Reservoir.

Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Cody, such as 'Cody Bike Rentals' on 14th Street. Once you have your bike, head west on Sheridan Avenue and follow the same route as for walking. When you reach Wyoming Avenue, continue biking straight. The biking path is fairly safe and leads directly to the Buffalo Bill Reservoir. You'll enjoy a scenic ride along the way, and once you arrive, you can park your bike and enjoy the view.
