Getting There

Bicycle
From downtown Cody, head north on 12th Street until you reach the intersection with Sheridan Avenue. Turn left on Sheridan Avenue and continue straight until you reach the junction with Highway 14/16/20. Turn right onto Highway 14/16/20. Follow this highway for approximately 3.5 miles. You will see bike lanes along the way. The Buffalo Bill Dam & Visitor Center will be on your left, just after you cross over the dam. There are bike racks available outside the center.

Starting from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, walk north on 8th Street until you reach the intersection with Sheridan Avenue. Turn left on Sheridan Avenue. Continue on Sheridan Avenue until you reach the junction with Highway 14/16/20. Here, turn right onto Highway 14/16/20. It’s about a 3.5-mile walk, so be prepared for a good hike. The Buffalo Bill Dam & Visitor Center will be on your left after crossing the dam. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
