If you're traveling by car, start from Douglas, the largest city in Converse County. Head west on WY-59 for approximately 34 miles until you reach the town of Guernsey. Once in Guernsey, follow the signs for Guernsey State Park. The Guernsey Ruts are located within the park, which is about 5 miles north of the town center. There is no entrance fee for the park, making this a free visit.
Public Transportation
Unfortunately, public transportation options to Guernsey Ruts are limited. You can take a Greyhound bus to Douglas and then seek a local taxi service to take you to Guernsey (about 30 miles). Make sure to book your taxi in advance, as local services may be sparse. Expect to pay around $50 for the taxi ride one way. Once in Guernsey, you can drive or walk to the Guernsey State Park, where the Ruts are located.
