Getting There

• Car

  From Douglas, WY, head west on US-26 W toward Guernsey. Continue on US-26 W for approximately 50 miles until you reach the junction with WY-270. Turn left onto WY-270 and follow the signs to Guernsey. As you arrive in Guernsey, look for Unnamed Rd. The Register Cliff State Historic Site will be located on this road. There is no entrance fee for the site.

  If you're coming from Casper, WY, take I-25 S. Exit 182 for US-20 W toward Glenrock. Continue on US-20 W for about 20 miles, then turn left onto WY-270. Follow WY-270 into Guernsey. Upon entering Guernsey, look for Unnamed Rd, where the Register Cliff State Historic Site is located. There are no costs for accessing the site.

• Public Transportation

  While public transportation options are limited in Converse County, you can take a Greyhound bus to Guernsey. Upon arrival at the Guernsey bus station, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Register Cliff State Historic Site. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for availability.

  For the more adventurous, biking to Register Cliff from surrounding areas can be a scenic option. From Douglas, take US-26 W; it's about a 50-mile ride. Ensure you have proper biking gear, water, and snacks. There are no fees for accessing the site once you arrive.
