Car
From the center of Great Divide Basin, head southwest on WY-220 W towards Alcova. Continue on WY-220 W for approximately 30 miles. Once you reach Alcova, look for the signs indicating Devil’s Gate Historic Site. Turn left onto Alcova Reservoir Road (CR-402) and follow it for about 5 miles until you reach the site. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.
Public Transportation
If you are relying on public transportation, take a bus or shuttle service from the nearest town, which is Casper, Wyoming. Look for a bus service that heads towards Alcova. Once in Alcova, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Devil’s Gate Historic Site, as local public transport options may be limited.
