Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from downtown Green River. Head east on E Flaming Gorge Way toward N 5th E St. Continue on this road for about 1 mile. Then, turn right onto E 2nd S St and continue for another 0.5 miles. You will reach Expedition Island located on the Green River. There is parking available nearby, and you can easily access the walking paths along the river.

  If you are using public transportation, check for the local bus service in Green River that operates routes around the city. Look for a bus that heads toward the Green River Park area. Disembark at the closest stop to Expedition Island, which is typically near the Green River Park. From there, walk towards the river, and you will find Expedition Island accessible via the walking paths. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times, as services may be limited.

  If you are already in the vicinity of Green River Park or downtown Green River, you can walk to Expedition Island. From the park, head east along the walking path that runs parallel to the Green River. Follow the path for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Expedition Island. This area is perfect for a leisurely stroll, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding landscape.
