Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Green River, head east on E Flaming Gorge Way. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with S 2nd E St. Turn left (north) on S 2nd E St. After a few blocks, you will reach the intersection with E 5th S St. Turn right (east) onto E 5th S St and walk until you reach the Green River. Continue along the riverbank, and you will see signs directing you toward Expedition Island. Follow the path along the river until you arrive at Expedition Island.

• Bicycling

  If you are near the Green River Recreation Center, start your bike ride by heading south on S 2nd E St. After a short distance, merge onto E 5th S St heading east. Continue straight until you reach the Green River. There are bike paths that run along the river. Follow these paths to the north until you see the signs for Expedition Island. The route is scenic and should take about 10-15 minutes by bike.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  Check the local bus schedule for the Green River Transit. Board the bus that heads towards the Green River Recreation Center. Once you arrive at the Recreation Center, exit the bus and walk south on S 2nd E St until you reach E 5th S St. Turn right (east) on E 5th S St, and continue walking until you reach the river. Follow the path along the river, which will lead you to Expedition Island.
